About the amp
Where the Melody Everest 212 is the flagship under mono block amplification the Everest 8688 is that of the pre amps. The Everest 8688 delivers only the best of amplification for it’s price range. From the inside and outside the Everest 8688 is developed to meet the highest of today’s standards. Only the best materials are used in the 8688 and as such you can only expect the best of the best.
The Melody Everest 8688 comes in 2 units. The first unit is the amplifier and the second unit is the separate power supply to minimize distortion.
It is driven by 1x Melody 274B and Western Electric 398A and 437A tubes. Take a look at our tubes page to see an overview of all tubes and their specific sound in the amps.
The Everest 8688 has a unique look which is sure to grasp your attention when you first see it. As you would expect for a top-of-the-line amplifier. It may be hefty, but it surely isn’t an eyesore, quite the opposite.
General information
Melody Hifi produces all amps by hand with the finest point-to-point wiring. Bias control is accessible on top of the amplifier panel with true ampere meter.
The Melody Everest 8688 has a soft start and time-delay circuit of 30 seconds.
As the Melody Hifi distributor for Europe we offer a 1000 day warranty on the amplifier and 6 months on all tubes.
All products on this website are Australian tube amplifiers. Melody Hifi has it’s headquarters in Australia where it also practices R&D and all other inquiries. The amplifiers are produced in a well known tube amplifier factory in Shenzhen where all staff follows strict testing and production protocols. Melody however also places importance on the well-being of their personnel and maintains a people-oriented environment.
